Luthier's Republic, Medford, MA

The Luthier's Republic has moved to a new location in Medford MA. Paul Norman and Bruce Burns have been kind enough to open their shop doors to NEL and serve as gracious hosts.

Location:
Luthier's Republic
2nd Floor
574 Boston Ave
Medford, MA 02155
.

To get there: Take the Red Line to Davis Square T station. Head up College Avenue to Powderhouse Circle. Straight across the circle. You are now on Warner Street. Go about 4 blocks. The road is now about to dive under the commuter rail. St Clement's Church is on your left. (This is the intersection of Boston Ave and Warner St.) Across the street on your left is an old furniture factory. That's the place. It's full of small and medium size shops ... great building. Paul and Bruce are on the small dock end of the building (further down Boston Ave) on the second floor. Use the loading dock on the back of the building, take the stairs to the 2nd floor and they're just a short ways up the long hall on the left.

From Rt 2: Come off Rt 2 heading toward Everett/Medford on Rt 16E. Cross over Mass Ave and continue to the next intersection. Take a right on Broadway (Foodmaster on the corner) and take that until you hit the Powderhouse Rotary. Follow directions above - take Warner to the Republic. Alternately, you can cross over Broadway and go through the two small rotaries that come up quickly - look for Boston Ave on the right, shortly after Powerhouse Blvd. Take this directly to the Republic.

Coming from the north/south. Take I-93 to the Mystic Ave, Somerville exit. Important tip - Mystic Ave is also Rt. 38. Take Mystic Ave (Rt. 38) north, towards Medford. When you see the Staples and Dunkin Donuts on your right, turn left at the next light onto Harvard Street (this becomes Warner), and follow this for 3-4 traffic lights. After it goes under the commuter rail, the building is on your right. St. Clements is across the street on the right. If you hit the Powderhouse rotary you have gone too far.

There should be a lot of space in the parking lot on Sunday - especially if Mass at St Clement's is out ...
