Pittman Guitar Repair
My interest in repair started several years ago when my son wanted to improve the sound of his electric guitar. In his enthusiasm, he completely dismantled the guitar to see how it worked. While putting the instrument back together, guitar parts spread out along the kitchen table, I was able to focus on every individual component of the guitar. It became clear to me that properly setting-up a guitar can improve its sound, tone, and feel quality, making its owner feel even better about playing.
My love of music, and my passion for and expertise in carpentry led me to begin building electric and acoustic guitars as well as setting-up and repairing all kinds of stringed instruments for friends and fellow musicians. I have also had the great fortune of studying under Harry Becker and Bill Cumpiano(Becker & Cumpiano Guitarmakers) and Tom Knatt (Luthier's Workshop). Under their guidance I have been able to hone my skills to a level that enables me to provide the best service possible.
Since opening Pittman Guitar Repair, I have worked on electric guitars, acoustic guitars, electric and acoustic bass guitars, upright basses, violins, banjos, and more. Taking immense pride in my work, I always strive for my customers to be overjoyed at the improvement of their instruments they place in my care.
I look forward to providing professional quality service to your stringed instrument so that you can enjoy the wonderful sound you have been working to achieve.
