Monthly Meetings

 

The main conduit for the exchange information is our monthly meeting.  The meetings are open to everyone; from builders to repairmen, from experienced to the novice, from the knowledgeable to the curious.  At every meeting, builders bring their projects, in various stages of completion, to share with others in the group.  Some projects are traditional instruments, some are period pieces from centuries past, and some are purely experimental.  Some are prototypes, some are final designs.  All of them are interesting and inspiring.

The New England Luthiers meet the THIRD Sunday of each month. This seems to produce fewer conflicts with holiday weekends, such as New Years, 4th of July, Labor Day, etc.  The location changes, but the intent remains the same: connect with other builders, share information and expertise, see each other's work and just have a good time.

We will try to alternate between a "tutorial/how-to" meeting and a "shop tour/lunch" meeting.  We are currently organizing topics for future meetings, so send us your ideas and we will do our best to meet the needs of the group.
